If you didn’t get what you wanted for the holidays or have to return your lame presents because they didn’t fit or were just plain ugly, rejoice because you now get coughpark17 for free.
In the autumn, I found myself at mandatory Jury Duty and as we were all waiting in a big room for a case I started listening to all the recent phone submissions. I found myself laughing out loud in a room of 200 grim sour people. Such is coughpark: the last bastion of randomness and joy in a boring predictable waiting room.
A couple of things of note on this disc:. It contains a dream about a teen heartthrob, a recipe, and travel on trains and in cars. Also evidence of bus and train stations. Seems like there is a lot of extra cortisol out there. A lot of sleep pattern problems. A lot of not knowing when you are dreaming or just general exhaustion. Maybe this mix is a stratagem to ward off exhaustion. Also there are some extreme tractor issues so the crops can be harvested, some tuned flowerpots and some soupy observations.
There is also an account of a lady whose boss gave her a coughpark flyer which she left in her pocket, did her laundry, and then took out the balled up paper to call the hotline. Perhaps this means It’s going to be a very CLEAN YEAR!

STREAMING EXPERIMENT
Remember: Every difficult challenge can only be met with ADAPTATION of the first order.
We used some of the money from the sale of the coughpark cologne last year, and attempted a test digital distro via CD Baby of a specially exclusive best of Magic Moods Volume 1, (this is from the first couple of discs) but for a while there it looked like the whole CD Baby outfit was about to go bankrupt. Seems OK now but no Spotify for some unknown reason. We have made exactly .69 cents thus far!!! Almost enough for a morsel of stale bread or half a tomato. Bandcamp is much more exciting..

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT
COUGH PARK COMPACT DISCS is a submission based mix system collaborative which is created a few times a year. A great deal of the audio is a result of the COUGH PARK HOTLINE. (347) 601-4266 where people call and leave messages about dreams, ghost stories, music, rants and recipes for better living.
Every special physical DISC has unique limited edition packaging by Jason & Henry McLean For a while we only made the DISCS available by physically going to COUGH PARK at GPS Location: 40.67451, -73.99984 in person but we have since set up this bandcamp page. Any funds generated from sales or merch will go to postal fees to send out actual discs.
Thus far DISCS have been given most recently by hand to KAWS(Brian Donnelly), Anne Waldman, Eric Bogosian, Joe Pera, Laurie Anderson, Lenny Kaye, Nihilist Spasm Band, Spiral Stairs (Scott Kannberg) of Pavement and others.
