Lowell Massachusetts is the territory of the mysterious Dr. Sax. Jack Kerouac wrote six books about Lowell, and he is still there in the all the ways that matter. These two short segments contain bootleg audio of Jack himself, recorded in some beatnik’s apartment over jugs of wine in 1961. The Sinatra records were already playing in the room in the background. I shot the stills in Lowell. The picture of the house at the end of the first segment was the house he was born in. That actually is the Moody St bridge. This is a work in progress.
